"We faced many challenges this year, but still, we have so much to be thankful for. As we move forward to 2023, we expect more expansion. Team, let us level up!"

Ms. Christine H. Ampon, the Executive Director of SIKAP Inc., inspires the SIKAP Staff with her Welcome Message during the Training on Communication and Negotiation Skills at Butuan Grand Palace Hotel, Butuan City, on December 14-16, 2022, under the SHE Project in partnership with OXFAM and funded by the Global Affairs Canada (GAC).

The SIKAP team undergoes rigorous training that enhances their communication skills in business letters, news and feature writing, captioning, public speaking, and facilitation through workshops. Negotiation skills training focuses on building rapport, listening, professionalism, and courtesy, aiming to forge beneficial agreements for all involved parties.

Skills acquired by the team equip them to write business letters appropriate for their target audience, news articles on their activities on the field, and feature stories on beneficiaries' successes. During the facilitation skills demonstration, two new facilitators were identified. One staff of the administrative section can now assist in the negotiations for engagements with future partners.

Marlyn C. Bangcong, one of the Community Development Facilitators, expresses her appreciation and gratitude for the learnings acquired, which equips her to perform her duties in the implementation of the SHE Project.
